我相信看到标题“广告” ，很多小伙伴脑海里涌出的词是：“Advertisement” or “Advert” or “Ad”（后两个是缩写）。
而且有个表达：
Sb can be an advertisement for sth
某人可以做……广告.（XXX 是…的招牌）
例如：如果你最近健身，而且减重了不少，那么你就可以说
Eg：Im an advertisement for the diet cause I’ve lost a lot of weight since start.
For Daniel，we could say:
Eg：He is an advertisement for persistence（自夸一下hh）

而我们所熟知的Advertisement 作为广告是一种统称，类似于Clothes（统称）。我们常见的有以下几种：
1）Commercial [kəˈmɜːrʃl]
Used to refer to radio or television paid for by advertisements that are broadcast between and during programmes 电视广告
Eg：Now its time for a commercial break.
译：现在是广告时间
2）Leaflet / Flyer [ˈliːflət]
A piece of paper that gives you information or advertises something:
传单（路上接到的这种）
Eg：Demonstrators handed out leaflets to passers-by.
译：游行示威者向路人分发传单。
3）Brochure [ˈbrəʊʃə(r)]
A type of small magazine that contains pictures and information on a product or a company 手册（小册子），介绍公司的时候发的
4）Poster 海报
5）Billboard 大型广告牌
